the lowdown…

Born in Wexford, Ireland, Doyle began performing as a choral singer in various school plays and productions. He took lead soprano for several years before being selected to perform in a performance of Ottorino Respighi's 'La Fiamma' at the 1997 Wexford Opera Festival. Moving to the UK to study for his Bachelor's Degree at the University of Wales, he landed his first scoring assignment on Amber Pictures' science fiction horror, Bane. Ronnie later began studying music privately with clarinetist Mari Carmen Garzás and Australian cellist Linda Weddell.

The over 30 film and solo projects featuring Ronnie’s work include Hughes William Thompson’s award-winning film A New Man (for which Ronnie was nominated for Best Original Score at the London Music + Sound Awards) and Martin Monk’s German production Awake [which earned Ronnie a nomination for Best Music at the Berlin Fashion Film Festival].
American critic Randall D. Larson cited him as "a very promising newcomer" to film scoring, lauding the "compelling, melismatic sound patterns" of his music. whilst film producer Warren Duenas hailed Ronnie as "one of the UK's finest composers". Director Vasco Xü praised Doyle's "strong, musical personality" evident in his rich, dark string score to Walking Legend Pictures' Chinese drama, Twin Lotus.

Ronnie is currently writing the audio play and music for his second full-length album, Seven Days, which is scheduled for release in late 2022. He has also recently finished the original musical score for Through Her Eyes, an experimental dance piece to be performed by the Neoteric Dance Company in May at venues around the UK and abroad.

Aside from music, Ronnie is an avid writer and voice actor. He has contributed work for Bristol 24/7 Magazine as well as writing for radio drama, screenplays and poetry. His most recent voice acting commission saw him playing the part of James O’Very in Six To Start’s smash-hit app Run, Zombies!

He is the owner of sound and literary label, Blank City Publishings.
